Lunchtime Concert: From Beethoven to Bennett

  • National Botanic Gardens Glasnevin Dublin 9 (map)

On Saturday the festival returns once more to the National Botanic Gardens for its popular lunchtime concert. Darragh Morgan (violin) and Tim Gill (cello) will be joined by Reiad Chibah (viola) for Beethoven’s String Trio in G major, Op. 9, No. 1. From nineteenth-century Vienna, we will be propelled into the present day for the premiere of Ed Bennett’s Strange Sea. At the forefront of Irish contemporary music, this exciting new piece for solo violin and electronics will be sure to enliven our lunchtime! Young artist Mollie Wrafter (violin) joins the trio for Beethoven’s String Quartet in C minor Op. 18, No. 4 to bring the concert to a close.

Entry to this event is free but booking is required. If you are unable to attend, we ask that you cancel your ticket.
